Anyone got any recommendations for cheap glasses that will do the job in the alps?

I bought a pair of cheap Julba Sherpa. I like the vintage look.

In reply to Tyler:

If you'll be in Cham then the 15Eur jobbies from Technique Extreme do the job nicely and don't make a hole in your wallet every time you lose them.

They are cheap, and they look cheap, so get the ugliest ones you can find and at least it doesn't seem like you are trying too hard.

In reply to Tyler:

Aldi have some cheap (£2.99) cycle glasses (Cat 4). Should do the job and not break the bank.

I'd trust Aldi, German standards and all that....
Cycling glasses sound a good idea, coz they ought to have side protection. Is that the most important thing - all the glacier glasses seem to have shields etc.

Also try decathlon

In reply to Tyler: Make sure it's Cat 4. Or, poke a couple of holes in a blind fold.

Surely Cat 3s are fine? all I've ever used...

£6 from decathlon.

In reply to JamesO!?:

To be honest I've no idea, until this thread I never knew there were such catagories! I'd imagine the worst I'll do is work across the valley Blanche but even that is unlikely

In reply to Tyler: its illegal to drive in cat4s so how do they ride in them.
