I need a reliable hardwearing 70m rope, and an edlinger seems to fit the bill. Beal website says they make a 70m version but I can't find one for sale anywhere on the web; has anyone else seen it for sale recently?

In reply to Jonathan Emett: You might what our reviewers have said about the Beal Edlinger, they talk about the durability quite a bit: http://www.tribevine.com/product/4589/Beal/Edlinger

In regards of other hard wearing single ropes take a look at the top of the line ones at: http://www.tribevine.com/quicksearch?open=true&q=typeid:240 ...any of the 4 / 5 star ones should be good alternatives (there are specifications of over 160 different single ropes in the system).

In reply to Jonathan Emett:

Edlinger rope isn't readily available in 70m lengths.

The standard lengths that Lyon import are 35m, 50m, 60m, and 200m plus there are/were some 40m around.

You could find a shop that sells it by the metre and get 70m cut off a 200m drum.
