I bought some of these as another pair for general use. Great value and build quality. Fine for alps and scottish winter. Not up there with the absolute best but if price is an issue then they're only a notch down. Nice anti balling plates too.
My old pair of Charlet Mosers were v similar really. I do have some Grivel G12s but don't actually like the long points for general use (catch them too often when just walking). The short vs long point debate depends what you want them for. For general classic alps type use I'd not go too long, but if you think you'll be doiing anything streep in them I'd go for the lonfer points.
