Not sure I agree Dan about the 'only'. I've got a PHD synthetic overbag (the cheaper sale Combi version of the current Overbag) and together with my existing Minim 500 it works very well in winter. You are quite right that they are a bigger and heavier option, however, I had the Minim to start with and it was a cheaper and more flexible (for me) option for all year round. I also like the synthetic outer for less than perfect pitches or weather.
The bottom line is both work as long as the outer bag is big enough if you use two. It just depends what you have to start with and can afford I'd say.
