How healthy is burning diesel in XGK?

It'll burn unleaded petrol too.

Seems like a toxic idea, but sounds like plenty do it.

Well, it's far from ideal, but in a well-ventilated area it shouldn't be too bad.

Comes down to what you can get your hands on at the time.
In reply to LastBoyScout: I run mine on Unleaded, mainly because I'm too lazy to go and buy any kind of stove fuel, but I'm regularly at the petrol station!

In reply to LastBoyScout: exactly. we used petrol exclusively about 2 years ago on a long trek across the knoydart and up to ullapool. petrols easy to get hold of and so much cheaper than proper fuel. just make sure you keep everything clean or else the soot does build up quickly. if im correct you have to either use gel to get diesel going and/or add a little bit of petrol.

Diesel is more expensive due to extra tax following the discovery that the fumes are carcinogenic..... Act on this how you will.
