My lifes gone in flames here atm so have decided that there is nothing in this country keeping me anymore, so off to new zealand me thinks.

Just a few questions on visas,
I get the impression that i could go under the working holiday visa then while im there try and get a work permit to get proper work.

Anyone done this???? More info from the well travelled ukc lot would be much appreciated.

In reply to laurentb: Yep I'm pretty sure you can go there without a visa for upto 6 months (no working!) and then apply for a working visa while your there. It should say on their website though.

I'd say go for it, and go to castle hill and paynes ford, life will seem better

In reply to laurentb: Check with Immigration NZ - things do change rapidly here.

Certainly, consider bringing evidence of quals, education, references, etc, as it will speed up the process of applying for visas for yourself and/or your employer. It can be time-consuming trying to track down paperwork in the UK from this side of the world.
