I see Kenton has announced today his latest Everest expedition which, if he summits will honour a 88 year old pledge to Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founding father of the Olympic Games. Great story.

I was a little disappointed to see Kenton (on the BBC morning TV prog) refer to 'conquering' Everest and appear to suggest that nothing gets left on Everest (re bringing the olympic medal back down). What, like Everest isn't littered with trash? I do appreciate his team may be more ethical than many and there have been efforts to clean the mountain up, but that was a little misleading.
