Sad to see Tom Sims, one of snowboarding's most influential players has died. He was responsible for turning the shonky 80's kit into what we would recognise as a workable board.
I recall learning to board at Nevis in 1992, in the rain, on a Sims All Mountain - it weighed the same as a house and was equally as flexible, but it was a great board.
He was up there with Regis Rolland and Jake C - very sad news.
