My La Sportiva Nepal Extremes either need replaced or resoled. I am ideally looking for any first hand recommendations. The options seems to be:

Lancashire Shorts Repairs (60 + 8 P&P) - http://www.lancashiresportsrepairs.co.uk/walking_boot_repairs.htm

Feet First (65 + 8 P&P) - http://www.feetfirst.resoles.co.uk/walking-boot-repairs/walking-boot-repair-prices.html

Cheshire Shoe Repairs (45?) - http://www.cheshireshoe.co.uk/hike.asp

Any information on performance of previous resoles or recommendations gratefully received.

In reply to The Ex-Engineer:

Had mine done recently by Feet First and can't fault their service.

One thing to keep in mind would be that soles go out of stock and it can be a several-month wait (they told me) until they come in again. Fortunately for me, I had a still usable old pair of boots knocking around and as it turned out the wait was not too long.

In reply to The Ex-Engineer: I doubt any of them will be bad but from what I hear, LSR are the best and, as you point out, the cheapest.

I had a pair of La Sportiva Katana's done by Cheshire Shoe Repairs, they did a great job, although these are climbing shoes not mountaineering boots.
In reply to The Ex-Engineer: FeetFirst have resoled my Nepali's 3 times. Excellent job!

In reply to The Ex-Engineer:

In all cases give them a call before you put your boots in the post to make sure they have spare soles in stock. La Sportiva have a habit of being hap- hazard on their supply of soles which can cause a long wait / queue.
