/ where to stay in ambleside
so looking for recommendations for a nice B&B or guesthouse, nothing too fancy, but comfortable and centrally placed. there is so much choice, not sure where to start, though a quick google found this place:
has anyone stayed there? was it ok? any other suggestions for alternatives...?
Before we moved up to Cumbria we stayed at Amboseli Lodge when we did long weekends. Not been for a few years, but a quick Google shows Gwen and her husband are still running it. Therey're a really nice couple, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. There's also off street parking in the back yard.
thanks for suggestions so far- ambroseli is a possibility for sure. any other recommendations out there...?
I stayed there once (Easdale-Ambleside) its a superb BnB, in fact definitely the best Ive stayed at.
Owners are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, rooms kitted out with locally made furniture.
