I'm off to Ariege for the nights of Tues 30 April to Mon 13 May inclusive with a friend for lots of luvverly sport climbing. We're looking for modest self-catering accommodation within say 30 minutes' drive of our target crags Genat and Sinsat, so in the vicinity of say Niaux.

Suggestions very welcome.

Looks like I will be checking out Chez Arran first!

The whole area is only about 30 mins drive from end to end. There are four properties listed in the book (all run by Brits) that would be a good places to check for starters.

I've stayed there several times and can recommend it.

Thanks both (and thanks Chris for the inspiring Ariege guidebook!)

In reply to ericinbristol: we just stayed at The Forge (Climb Ariege) and can warmly recommend. V friendly, nice place, close to a town with plenty of supermarkets but still out in lovely countryside. We chose to have dinner as well as B&B and Dan's cooking was great - a real treat not to have to faff about in the kitchen whilst on holiday. There is a large kitchen if you want to self-cater though.
