Can anyone recommend a friendly Chamonix based guide for 3/4 days from next Friday (3rd May) for alpine/crag routes, although I'm aware the weather is not looking good so may end up skiing in Verbier instead...
Haven't got a huge amount to spend but flights booked and would rather climb than ski - my climbing buddy has flown to Croatia last minute!
Failing that, if any experienced climbers out there feel like earning a bit I can pay for cable car + a bit more.

Oh, I don't know - for a free ride up a lift?

That's the Blaitiere, doen't look like much is in condition.... that's the Peigne.... likewise....
Let me get the binocs out..... The Aiguille Rouge all look a bit wet.......
Where's that beer?

Or am I being a bit negative?

Yeah I know... it's definitely not how I imagined it would pan out but I have to salvage something from a misfortunate series of weather-related events

Even walking around above the valley floor I would imagine is a bit iffy - bottomless slush. Head for lower stuff S of Geneva?
There's still some skiing, as you point out.
