Summer Holidays in the Alps 2013

Here at 44South we'd like to introduce you all to our beautiful converted farmhouse in the Alps. With 6 bedrooms, some of which are en suite, large living and dining areas and an outdoor hot tub its a great place to be in the summer!
Situated in Morzine, part of the Portes du Soleil and only 1hr 15 from Geneva, we are perfectly positioned to make the most of summer out here in the Alps, on or off a bike.

The Portes du Soleil is well known for its lift assisted MTB, with masses of Downhill (including 2 world cup courses) and X Country tracks to take you a bit further afield.
Its not just off road though, we have numerous Tour de France cols and climbs on our doorstep such as Col de Joux Plane, and plenty more within pedalling distance.

Theres loads of events coming up this summer as well... Local sportives include The Tour of Lake Geneva, the Time Megeve and the Tour Vallee d'Aulps (the Morzine valley.) We have weekend deals for each of these enabling you to maximise your time on the bike, be fully prepared for the ride, and even fit some relaxing in as well. The Criterium du Dauphine is in the Portes du Soleil for the first two stages this year, and we are organising a long weekend based around watching the pros, and riding some of it for ourselves. Have a look at http://www.44south.co.uk/1-summer/sportives.php for more info on road events.

Off road we have the Pass'portes MTB festival celebrating the 10th edition this year. Places are limited for the event so you'll need to get in quick. More info at http://www.44south.co.uk/1-summer/passportes.php . The lifts are open full time from the end of June until beginning September so come and make the most of what the Alps have to offer!

If you fancy a day or two off the bike theres lots of other activities on offer, including sport climbing areas on the doorstep with enough routes for full on days or an evening climb.

We are offering B&B and half board accommodation per night or on a full week basis, with 44South style hearty breakfasts, afternoon tea and delicious three course meals including wine. To have a look at the farmhouse and prices please go to our website http://www.44south.co.uk/3-chalet/chalet.php , and for further info please drop us an email at info@44south.co.uk .

We look forward to welcoming you soon to what we feel is a very special part of France, and the Alps!

James, Adam and Ali
