Heading to Majorca next week, travelling alone and hoping to keep myself busy bouldering, biking, walking and generally chilling out!

Have already established that I'll be staying in the north east... Pollenca or Port de Pollenca. I've seen various websites recommending bike hire companies and sea kayaking trips. I guess it should be pretty easy... but people of UKC, what can you recommend? Are ther any good:

- Airport transfer companies?
- bouldering venues?
- unmissable views?
- superb single track?
- places to find climbing partners?
- bijou beaches?
- good pubs for socialising?

that I need to know about? !

Ta! !

In reply to CarolineMc: Must do walk (and a must-see view) in that part of the country

It's given a scrambling grade 3S on UKC, but that's for the full ridge. If you just do the Western half (as is described in most walking guides) it's far easier.

Also, I'd recommend Cala de St Vincenz as an alternative base if you fancy somewhere less busy. It's next to Pollenca, but far quieter.

In reply to Oujmik: I'll take a look at that, thanks! Co:

Thanks for all these tips... think I'll be using all of them.

Anyone able to contribute biking info? Best hire shop? Places to get maps? MTB routes?

Not personal recommendations as we've not been yet, but we're going to Mallorca (Soller) in August and have seen this place recommended on singletrackworld

Some other walking/scrambling options:

Massanella: there is a nice circuit via a short scramble on the north side, starting from Lluc.

Puig Tomir is a worthwhile summit with a good view, though only a half day by the shortest route (from Binifaldo).

There is good walking starting from the Cuber reservoir west of Lluc: I've done a nice circuit over Sa Rateta, L'Ofre, Puig des Jou and Es Cornadors, returning via the Col de l'Ofre.

In reply to ebygomm: Cheers Liz, if I can get transport across easily there are some good routes! If not I'll see if there's something similar from the other end! I'll let you guys know if what I get up to in case there's something you fancy!
