Looks like where we stayed as a group of 8, we had taken two cottages, one newer 'cleaner' larger,, but we all ended up socialising in the smaller cottage with the coal fire , and just slept in the larger one. ( not that the smaller one is dirty, It is just less clinical, and the fire adds an ' atmosphere'
I have also stayed in the hostel, and it was very good too, but not as good as having your own cottage to yourself.
