Yeh, been there late in the evening, when a massive amount of snow/ice slid of the route we had just got down off, quite an eye opener!

In reply to walts4: ooh , not good , spoke to the guardian of the Envers hut this morning who said conditions cest bon , probably just wants peeps to go stay at the hut , maybe the rouge will be a better bet

In reply to Nadir khan: Don't know about that area of the massif Nadir, but generally there is a great deal of snow around (particularly in the higher mountains of course), much of it not really consolidated. So I suspect that it is probably not the best for high rock routes round the Envers.

In reply to Simon4: Tons of amazing routes in the Envers are dry. Approaches snowy but good.

In reply to Jon Bracey: Thanks , weather looks set to improve towards the end of the week so fingers crossed we get a good spell while we're there
