/ Crazy new routing roof at Beacon Climbing Centre!
And now for something radically different! The new bouldering routing roof at Beacon Climbing Centre is currently under construction and will give 12m of upside down climbing above deep foam matting. The roof is around 70 degrees overhanging and features a rising matting platform to ensure that the ground is never too far away.
Due for completion over the next month or so, this latest addition will further add to the comprehensive bouldering at Beacon and will give you the opportunity to gain route style forearm pump without tying on! Prepare for a thorough arm blasting!
Opened in July 2012, the new Beacon Climbing Centre is located in Caernarfon, North Wales, just a few miles from Llanberis and the Snowdonia National Park, and features some of the best indoor climbing in the UK. Lead climbing walls extend up to 17m high with a maximum 7m overhang and feature a full range of grades up to F8b. Multiple bouldering areas offer a variety of climbing angles from slabby to very steep including a full overhanging arch feature.
