I am an expat Brit now living in Washington, DC. Since I've been living in the US I really got in to climbing and want to climb with my wife when visiting family this summer.

My parents are based near Birmingham and I was thinking that there must be some good places in the Peak District. However I'm not sure where would be best to go and what guidebooks I would need etc.

My wife is pretty new to the sport and so I'm looking for somewhere to top rope as she is not comfortable lead climbing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

In reply to thehumanriff: You got to go to Stanage but its trad. Top ropes are esy to set up there, but you will need trad gear as there are no bolts.

In reply to Aigen: Thanks for the info. Will definitely just make sure to bring the right gear.
