Hello all,

I'm looking for some MTB shorts that'll work for all seasons, i.e. that have a waterproof seat. A couple of female friends swear by the Endura MTL 500 ones, despite them not being women-specific.

Any other suggestions for shorts to look at?

Just bought a pair of the Endura 500 ones, have to say I'm very impressed with them so far

What are they like to ride in hot dry (sweaty) conditions? (I might get myself some)

Not done a long ride in them yet, but they are quite lightweight so I don't think it will be a problem

In reply to Tall Clare: Clare, the other option is to line the inner of you current riding shorts with gaffa tape, it's cheap and you can remove it when it gets warm in summer.

It's an interesting theory, but my current combination is some 'normal' cycling shorts and some seemingly bombproof (but not waterproof) Patagonia 3/4 trousers that I've used for climbing and all sorts for years. Definitely think some dedicated shorts would do the trick!
