After setting the Cham - Mt Blanc - Cham record a few weeks ago, Kilian Jornet is going to be attempting to beat the Cervinia - Matterhorn - Cervinia record this summer.

The record is currently held by Bruno Brunod at 3h 14m.

Kilian reckons it will take him about 15-20 ascents to learn the route sufficiently in order to make an attempt at the record later this summer when conditions are suitable.

He made his 2nd ascent/descent in 2 days yesterday in 4h 15m, still a lot of snow around. This ascent made in Salomon Sense trail shoes !!!

What must that make you feel like when your in full alpine gear, with ropes, 3/4 season boots etc and someone goes running past you in trainers !

Interesting times !

An Absolute inspiration. I would really recommended visiting his website 'Summits of My Life, basically his life goals. His first film 'A fine Line' is great watch, and cheap!!
