Im looking for a pair of said trews but do they exist?

All i want is a simple overtrouser, perhaps with half zips or similar.

No pockets or silly mesh liners or braces.

Any ideas folk?

Absolutely... In fact so many do I'm confused as to why you haven't found any!

They may now be made with Gore Tex 'Pro' rather than the older proshell!

Ohh gotcha, you probably wont find much in that price range unless you go for ebay or something from here. Normal cost comes in at around £180/200 for gore tex and most will be quite featured/ technical.

Berghaus used to do simple rainpants in their aquafoil and also gore tex performance shell for around £100 or so, but even now its £200 for a simple pair with a mesh liner.

Other than that you would have to start looking at other membranes from various manufacturers to find something that is as un-featured as you require.

This is the problem; finding a highly functional pair which are very simple. Therefore cheaper as they have few features.
Funnily enough Im looking to replace an old pair of Berghaus storms which fitted the bill perfectly but have one too many duct tape patches.

The closest Ive found are rab bergens or montane astro ascents. both event.
