Hi, will be visiting Helensburgh at the weekend and then planning a climb on the monday/tuesday. Any recommended spots for medium/easy trad and/or sport routes, also any tips for quick drying crags if we get rain.

Cheers
Dan

In reply to Daniel Peary:

Logical suggestion is Dumby (quick drying), but what's your definition of "medium/easy"?

In reply to Daniel Peary:

Your best options are likely to be Auchinstarry Quarry for medium/easy trad or Dumbarton Rock for bouldering (medium/hard) and sport 7's & 8's.

Dumby is the quickest at drying out.

In reply to Fraser:
I would say anything less than E2, and technical 6b max.

In reply to Daniel Peary: 30 mins away (and much closer than Auchinstarry) is Glen Croe. Good cragging near the car there, solid schist. Or the Cobbler - good weather only. As said elsewhere Dumby is safest, Persistence of Vision F7a+ is nearly always dry.

In reply to Daniel Peary:

Given E2, you've got a couple of trad climbs at Dumby at HVS/E1.
