Apologies if his has been posted already, rather a neat idea although I would be wary of how 'safe' it is. Looks like a good idea though especially for those of you too 'cool' for regular lids

this looks like something that was pondered a while ago (maybe 2 years or so) from a couple of design students.

both traditional helmets and these airbag collars have their plus and minus points. for example this new design wont stop branches poking you in the head and a neck band might get rather warm
