What's it like to walk up? Decent views? Coming from the Keswick side.....or is it best to stick to Skiddaw?

Its great, do it as part of the coledale round for a excellent day out, one of my favourite.

Nice peak with ace views, I remember. Walking across to Buttermere from Keswick via HH is a lovely walk, much better than Skiddaw, which is a dull slog. You can usually get a bus back from Buttermere after your pub lunch as well.

In reply to Removed UserCantankerous: A surprisingly steep little start from the carpark to the Coledale Round - which is even better if linked on to the Newlands Round.
In reply to An Triubhas: The Coledale round is a great walk...go and do it!

That sounds like a good day out. How do you do it? Down from Crag Hill to Newlands Hause or is there a sneakier way?
