Hi,

I would like to do some winter walking in the Lakes and Scotland. I am going to do a winter skills course.
I have a pair of Asolo Tribe boots and Sportiva Nepals and G14 Crampons.
I was hoping I would not have to buy more boots. Can I get by fitting crampons to the Asolo? If not can I use my Nepals?

Thank you

Charlie

In reply to charliehl: Just use your Nepals, that's what most folk use to get up Helvellyn in the winter (based on a study by me last winter).

In reply to charliehl: I agree with Martin1978. Just use the Nepal's. They're a great winter which will definitely take your G14s. That set up will take you way beyond winter walking and into more technical terrain...

Brilliant, I was hoping that would be the answer.

In reply to charliehl: Nepals FTW. you will be doing quite a bit of standing around on your course and having cold feet is second only to cold hands to being the worse feeling in winter.
