Has anyone got up-to-date information about bolted climbing around Annecy? I seem to remember reading about it years ago but wonder if its got too polished or over used? Looking for easyish routes in French 5's and easy 6's.

I was there for a week in August.

There is some amazing easy graded multi-pitch routes on well bolted clean limestone on the hills immediately west of the lake. Not polished at all.

All the single pitch crags with lots of easy stuff we went to were all very polished.

Incredible setting and rock. Long walk in though. Tough grades too.

not sure which route, but was about VS - on the way down we met Pierre Chapoutot who was responsible for many of the routes around Annecy (& elsewhere) who gave us a lift back to our car saving us a long walk

Make sure you buy the latest edition of the guide.

We bought the guide from a store in Annecy last year, published in 2007 I think.

We found out afterwards that there was a more recent one published in 2012!
