Christmas presents

Hello.

As Christmas approaches, my brother and sister will ask me what I want for Christmas.

What should I ask them for?

I am planning to go skiing in Bulgaria this winter but I will also plan to do winter climbing and winter walking.

Any good ideas?

I was thinking along the lines of some books on winter mountains like The MT book and Winter Climbing +.

There's always argos vouchers, then they can choose how much and you can make sure you get the books you want.

I always tell my family to buy me nothing, but last year the bought me the iPad I am typing this on.

I would say, if someone does not gave an iPad , then that us a good present( other makes are available, but I don't know how much better/ or worse they are)

Hello Jim.

The IPad could come in handy and be very useful in The Alps, Scottish Winter and skiing for example checking what routes are in good condition and what runs are closed.

On the other hand the IPad is expensive and the money can be put to another use like 1:1 winter climbing instruction or equipment.
