Anyone know how skiiable the Vallee Blanche is at the moment? Want to ski to and climb Aiguille Du Tacul.

I would have thought it would be a bit early in the season. Plus it has not been a big December in terms of snowfall.

Forget it. You could ski the first bit off the midi but as there is sod all snow, you'll be walking a loooong way to montenvers station.

First hand reports from mates who have skied it (most days since Midi opened) - good up top, very rocky lower down - walking from the level of the ladders...
Bottom half /exit couloirs of Grand Envers super-rocky. Recommended if you have rock skis and like spending the evening working with PTex...
