Scouting out bunkhouse / hostel options for Braemar next week. The SYHA is fully booked but I've seen mention if a rucksacks hostel as well ... but according to one site it has closed down. I'm at work atm so can't try phoning them. Can anyone confirm?

Any other recommendations for bunkhouse accommodation in Braemar?

I tend to stay in Ballater when I'm in those parts, as it's easier to get accommodation and more convenient for the Lochnagar group.

IT's called "Rucksacks" in Braemar. I think the number is 01339 741 517 Kate is the owner and is very nice and welcoming.

Braemar Lodge also has a bunkhouse. again you'll get the number if you google it. Owners are Fiona and Ronnie
