Often admired the whalebacks of the Howgills when I've been driving up or down the M6.

Can anyone recommend a good(not too demanding) walk(circular) of up to about three days?

Thanks.

You would be hard pressed to spend 3 whole days just in the Howgills, but how about:

Day 1: Sedbergh - Arant Haw - The Calf - Yarlside - Green Bell - Ravenstonedale
Day 2: Ravenstonedale - Smardale Viaduct - Coast to Coast path to Orton - Gaisgill
Day 3: Gaisgill - Uldale Head - Black Spout - Fell Head - Crook of Lune - Dales Way back to Sedbergh.

You could have short walking days Spiced up with a couple of the Howgill gill Scrambles?

Thanks, something to work on.
In reply to Mark Bull: Not a mad three day itinerary, a wonderful place to walk though.

Try this UKH Route Card - it's a circuit of the Orton Fells, Howgills and wild Boar Fell: http://www.ukhillwalking.com/logbook/r/?i=171

I did it over two late winter days, but you could make it 3 if you wanted to tone down the demanding-ness a bit

How about 60km, hitting all the 40 Harvey maps tops?

Should keep you busy for 3 days.

I did a two-dayer from Sedbergh with a camp at Ravenstonedale, last August, taking in Baugh Fell and Wild Boar Fell on Day 1, and most of the bigger Howgills tops on Day 2, finishing at Tebay. It was a good walk, but may fail your 'not too demanding' test. After a few wet days, it was extremely boggy, especially on Day 1, and Day 2 served to remind me just how much very steep ascent and descent there is in the Howgills. I did enjoy it, but found it one of my more demanding expeditions. I find it hard to account for that, as I've been walking in Scotland for decades.
