I usually just lay the crampon on its side, stand on it with both feet and use a sling to pull the metal bit of the bail out the hole. If this is what you're already doing not much else I can think of!
Its actually really simple! on one side the bail is kinked and the other straight, if you loop the heal peace strap round the straight side and place the lynx on its side on the ground and stand on the spikes then pull up and release the bail. this allows you to remove them with ease.
