can anyone recommend a campsite in the valley, not fussy really, price takes priority as we are on a tight-ish budget?

Camping Montets in Vallorcine (a short drive over the Col de Montets from Argentiere) for something more naturalistic

Agree Mer de Glace is good, as is Argentiere (better pitches, less shade). Les Arolles is reasonably priced and cheaper than most if i recall. I don't rate those closer to Les Bossons.

Another vote for Vallorcine. Quiet, comfortable, semi-rural, cheap and friendly. Free transport in the valley. Note no bank in Vallorcine.

Hi, I stayed here for 3 weeks. Can walk in to Cham, about 20 mins.
Nice campsite.

Good showers and the place is very clean

Have a good time.
I'm going to there for my second time in June this year. Always up for a climb
