Hi,

I'm just trying to sort some insurance for a 2 week trip to the Alps. For most of the trip we'll just be skiing on piste, but I'm hoping to get in a day or 2 of touring. The insurance I've looked at so far means that I have to pay for the highest risk level i.e. touring for the whole trip, which works out very expensive.

If I pay for insurance for piste skiing for the whole 2 weeks, what are my options for boosting it for the days I go touring. Will the insurance you can buy with the lift pass cover heli rescue/medical bills if I'm out of resort bounds? Any other ideas?

Where in Alps are you going?

France, Italy, Austria or Suisse?

France, Bernex for the first week, then Cham for the second. Only likely to be touring in the second week.
