A Strathaven Climbing Club lecture by Sandy Allan on his climb of the Mazeno Ridge of Nanga Parbat is to be held in the Ballerup Hall,East Kilbride, Civic Centre on Wednesday 26th March. Doors Open 7.00pm for 8.00pm start. Bring a driver, beer and wine being provided by Strathaven Ales. Described by many as the last great problem in the Himalayas it's succesful completion was always going to be a classic. It turned into a classic of epic proportions. Find out who killed the rat, who fell asleep on the job and why you can never accuse a Czech climber of being all fur coat.

Licensed to 10.30, hall booked to 10.45. He'll do the Nanga Parbat bit first: you could leave before 10 and still have got the main lecture

Didn't realise there was a climbing club in Strathaven?! How very dare you. The SCC is famous across large parts of South Lanarkshire. Next you'll be telling us you've never heard of Les Aiguilles du Loudoun...

The lecture sounds great, the fact it will be licensed is an added bonus, will come along to the talk on Wed evening.
Hopefully there will be folk there to promote the Strathaven Climbing Club as well, would be good to know more about the club.

News just in - there will be a raffle. Prizes fit fro any climber (i.e. alcohol mostly)
