I have a pair of phantom guides and I don't seem to get on with the silly black lace tightening thingy as during a day's climbing my laces come loose on theses boots.

Has any one got a lacing system that stays tight all day?

I have these boots. I tie half of a reef not at the top, then lace back down one set of hooks and then tie a reef knot. Seems to work OK and still easy to undo.

As Gaz said... reefs are the only way to go.

I tighten up to the hooks, then reef, before lacing the hooks and reefing again (with a bow on top to tidy the loose ends).

I also start at the top of the hooks and work down as it holds my foot better, but that's just my foot shape I guess.
