Hi, what are you wanting from a guide? I have been looking into guides in the alps for summer. I am not looking at Chamonix though as I will be a novice and there seems to be better suited places for beginners.

There are lots of excellent British guides in Chamonix - I can recommend Matt Helliker, but I'm sure others will pitch in with more names.

Hey, I've used Rob Jarvis from High Mountain Guides and would definitely recommend him. As mentioned above, though, I'm sure there are many good Guides out there...my personal preference would be a member of the BMG, as they seem to have a greater coaching focus, but that's based on no experience of Guides from other schemes!!

Look up Mark Walker ( http://www.markwalkermountaineering.co.uk/ ) or Tim Neill ( http://www.timneillguiding.com/ ).

Both BMGs and all-round top blokes.
