Heading home over the weekend and will drive through the Lake District, don't know the area at all. Any advice on what would be dry and in the sun? Looking for classic starred trad E2-5.

Cheers!

Been a bit damp in the south lakes today, but rock still mostly dry. Gimmer, White gill, either of the Raven crag in Langdale, Black crag (blisco), for starters. These are all south lakes. Not sure if's been dry in the north lakes today, but if it has then have a look at Shepherds or Black crag. Although i'd say they take a little longer to dry, they have many good routes between them.

Cheers for that, be psyched for trying the Langdale stuff out. Its fairly fast drying and south facing then?

In reply to samwillo: raven - south facing fast drying -there are E2-5 but outside my experience(try logbook), due to warm up tomorrow so gimmer might be practical
