planning a cycle trip to Scotland next year?

Several years ago they were going to move to driving on the right in Ireland, they planned to phase it in gradually, with bicycles riding on the right to start with, then after a month cars would switch to the right hand side, followed at monthly intervals by minibuses, tractors, buses and finally HGVs.

And don't forget you'll have to get those little stickers to put on your bike lights like you do on cars so you don't dazzle people coming the other way.
