I am thinking of cycling from home in Lincs to the Lakes in a the summer months.
Does anyone know of a website that will calculate/give me the shortest route from "A to B" with the obvious need to keep off Motorways etc ???
I have found a site that simply draws a straight line twixt here and my destination, and I can work a route out thats sticks pretty close to that line. However, I wonder if theres some site that will do that for me!!
It does have a curious habit of plotting routes through housing estates when a reasonable direct route exists. It might be better to split your plot in to a few shorter legs. I'm not sure if you can add waypoints in the middle of an existing leg - I've not tried to do it though.
