i thought that a read an article maybe on ukc or maybe elsewhere, about a valley of granite in one of the stans, i dont think it was uzbekistan maybe was turkmenistan, comparable to yosemite. not as big but lots of unclimbed rock. i think it was about some british climbers putting up first ascents there, maybe dave pickford or mick fowler. i have been searching for it with this pathetic amount of information that my mind retained but had no joy. am starting to think i dreamt it . can any body help?
