As part of a possible North to South Cuillin Ridge Traverse I am thinking of abseiling down from Am Bhasteir and then off the Bhastier Tooth. I am not keen on doing the full 30m abseil down the very exposed overhanging route right from the summit of the Tooth nor down the Kings Cave route which I am assume also needs a 60m or 50m rope. I am wondering whether I can abseil off the top of Naismith's Route down to the ledge. It looks like a 40m or even a 35m rope (which is sufficient for the abseil off the In Pinn) would be long enough. Has anyone any experience of this route off the Tooth?

See you've not had any replies to this. Can't advise on abseiling, but would note that Lota Coire Route is only Mod and gives a useful descent.

Your question was answered yesterday on another thread (I suppose it was in the wrong topic - 'Hill talk'):
