The problem with questions on forums is that they can sometimes incite quite heated discussions, usually because the question is not clear enough. A shoe question is likely to do just that!!! After some time wearing performance shoes (all of which hurt somewhere)I bought a pair of Red Chili Spirits for general all day use....surprised to find that they were an absolute perfect fit, width, volume and even heels... got a half size smaller and they've stretch to perfection. Problem is they are not that performant and the soles wear out really quickly. Question is..... does anyone know of a performance rock shoe with a similar width, volume and heel and better soles (stickier and more durable) that I should look at. The Spirit is a very good all round shoe but it just doesn't seem to do it for bouldering, especially on inclines.
