Following a reported suicide yesterday there appears to be a temporary access restriction to the base of High Tor. I was out running this morning and saw police tape across the access track from the north, near artists corner parking. There was also police tape near the cable car station, but none on the descent route past the right wing routes.
So if you are coming to Matlock to climb on High Tor over the next couple of days you may need to have a plan B. There is still a wrecked vehicle to be removed from the cliff base.
