Puncture Resistant vs Self Sealing

I have previously bought some excellent Raleigh Puncture resistant tyres for a bike with 26" x 2.5" tyres. The great thing is I don't have to pump up the tyres up every week, they maintain their pressure. - 2 years without a puncture.

I recently bough another bike with a view to using it for commuting, hence 26 x 1.5. slick tyres

However, the tubes have Presta valves, and I cannot find any puncture resistant tubes of a suitable size with Presta Valves. I can only find Dr Sludge or Slime Start, - both self sealing tubes.

So, are they as good?

Alternatively, can I enlarge the hole in the rims to take a Schrader Valve?

few things here - yes you can enlarge the hole no problem ive done it 2 second jobbie.
why do you need a puncture proof inner tube?
Why not just get a decent tyre with puncture protection in it?
I would not use tyre slime type stuff as it just makes your wheels heavier and in all accounts ive read they still leak slowly, or if you get a big puncture or rip you get goo everywhere.

my advice is get a good tyre and a regular inner tube

Puncture resistant presta valve tubes are fairly common:

...and many others on CRC or Wiggle.

Yup, just take a drill with a decent metal bit of the suitable size.
