Hi,

I'm climbing with friends in The Peak this weekend and we left booking camping a bit late so our usual venues (North Lees or Bamford) are full. I've managed to book into the Eden Tree in Bradwell but I'm not familiar with the local area.

I'm looking for recomendations of good pubs in the local area (preferably walking distance, even if it is a long walk). I've looked on google maps and there appear to be several nearby in Hope or Bradwell. I'd be after somewhere that has a reasonabe real ale selection & decent reasobably priced food, large portions a bonus.

Not been for a while but the Cheshire Cheese along the Edale road from Hope has always been good.

ye olde bowling green went there a few weeks ago, as stayed at eden tree- quality food, for good prices. its about a 5min walk from the site.
