I'm heading to the Roaches at the weekend to climb. There are a couple of non-climbers and small children in the party so I want to aim for a section somewhere where the kids can run around safely and picnics can be eaten without getting in anyone's way. Which bits would be best to head to?
I doin't get there much, but the first bit you get to under the lower tier will fit the bill. There is loads of space , shade under the trees (going to be hot, apparently), little and large boulders to mess around on. A fair few classics for the climbers too.
Leave the non climbers and kids at The Lazy Trout pub just down the road in Tittersworth, or even better drop them off at Tittersworth reservoir where they can spend 3 or 4 hours walking around and exploring it and then meet them in the pub for a drink and something to eat
