Hi, planning a multi day expedition in the Galloway Forest National Park and was wondering what parking is like at the Southern end of Loch Bradan. The plan is to leave the car at the car park and spend the next few days making my way to Glen Trool and back. Will it get robbed or clamped?

I've left a car parked overnight in a layby on the forest drive between Loch Doon and Loch Riecawr, so pretty close to Loch Bradan. Had no problems, though that's not to promise you won't. Sure a Galloway regular could tell you more.

It's not a National Park btw, though probably deserves to be (at least if they got rid of all those conifers)

you won't get clamped - no more likely to get robbed than anywhere else. For what it's worth I've lelf my car overnight in various places in Galloway and never had a problem.
