Anyone else noticed this?

Doubt it would be good news for climbers.

But good news for everyone else?

I realise that Clifton gorge isn't the best place to get away from it all but 300 people a day whooshing past is not going to be great when balanced on shiny limestone trying to fiddle in a micro. Hopefully it's just a fleeting idea

If climbing is allowed at all underneath the zip line that is

If it did happen it would be a short term gimick, stuff like that is expensive to run and has too many H&S implications.

I agree. Wear on the cable alone would be a nightmare to deal with.

Far more sensible to have a slackline and a rack of unicycles at each end for people wanting to cross.

Yeah, that one up in north wales hasn't been there for ages has it?

In reply to Steve nevers:

The one in North Wales doesn't start in a busy park and cross a major road.

Only a matter of time before some pisshead breaks in and manages to convert themselves into pate on the portway. At least you don't get that many people using the river these days so it wouldn't inconvenience anyone too much if they came off there.

Red fecking trousers will milk every penny he can while he is still holding power. Also seems the head of the Downs Committee (which have given a preliminary 'yes' vote to this idea) is also MP for Bedminster, and hes keen. Its the company that runs the one in Snowdon too.
