Visiting chamonix for mostly walking holiday but plan to do a day or so trad climbing.
Only begginers so looking for any recommendations for short climbs at the easier grades.
Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Nice little crag in Sixt Fer a cheval behind Gorge des Tines. Worth walking up the old Gorge too Ace

As gali said les tines should be ideal, well bolted easy slabby routes on one sector, there's very little trad in the area. Have a look at the Giffre Risse Foron guide in the shops, or the escalade74 website. There's a good free via ferrata on the other side of the road called le Mont, you can hire gear from a little outdoor shop in sixt for about 10 Euro.

Thanks guys. Would you happen to also know if col de montets is only really good for bouldering or if there might be a bit of trad?
