Just wondering whether anyones owned or has used both the POD Cragsac (size3) and the POD Alpine 50 (size B) ie the long back lengths in each model, and if so, how do they compare in volume. The stated volumes are 47L (+ 12L overload) and 50L (+ overload facility) respectively. I actually have a Cragsac but was after something with a little more volume - does the Alpine 50 fit the bill or is it actually smaller? I tried ringing a few stores but havn't obtained a definite answer yet.
In reply to NickJH: I've got one however I got it to replace a Black Ice (size 2). I've found it great and regularly use it for multi-day hillwalking trips as well as for both rock and Winter climbing.
It is obviously hard to be sure but I think the published volumes are pretty accurate. I'm not sure an extra 3-8 litres is sufficient justification to buy a new sack, but I am pretty sure it will be slightly larger.
